Dr JK Jaiswal honoured for being a COVID-19 Warrior

Mirzapur (India): In this challenging time of COVID-19, when the whole country is sitting inside homes due to the nationwide lockdown, the battle with Corona virus is being fought by doctors, para-medical staff, police, sanitation workers and essential service providers. The number of Corona positive patients is less when compared to the western nations, including USA, UK, Italy, France etc.

One such Covid-19 Warrior is Dr J K Jaiswal, who runs a private clinic in Lal Diggi area of Mirzapur city in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Dr Jaiswal has been honoured by the School of Allied Health Sciences, VMRF-DU, Salem and certified as a Covid-19 Combatant. The dispensary is located adjacent to Mochiyani Lane. Dr Jaiswal has been providing free medical treatment along with free medicines to the needy patients of the city and surrounding areas. The free medical service is being given to the people between 6 pm to 8 pm daily since the beginning of lockdown. It is available till the lockdown ends.

Dr J K Jaiswal said, “Since the OPD’s in the government hospitals and dispensaries are closed owing to the lockdown, I though it wise to offer my free services to the general masses, who are panicked by the Corona virus. Most of the patients visiting my clinic complain of cold and fever. They are afraid of Corona virus, but can not visit big hospitals. I provide free consultation, treatment and medicines to such patients.”

The Vinayak Mission’s Research Foundation, which runs the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) at Salem, has certified Dr Jaiswal as a Covid-19 Combatant. The institute is supported by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt of India.

Dr Jaiswal has initiated a helpline (94152-57539) for the convenience of patients. Those who are unable to come to the clinic, Dr Jaiswal visits such patients at their homes without any charge. Thus he is respected as a true Corona Warrior in the region.

Dr Jaiswal has appealed to the people to maintain social distance, stay at home, wear a mask, wash hands often and keep sanitizer handy.
